Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Employee Wellbeing Consultant to join our team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall wellbeing and experience of our employees.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a post-secondary education in human resources or health sciences, along with 5 years of experience in employee wellbeing, workplace wellness, health promotion, and/or human resources. The successful candidate will possess superior interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to function as a collaborative team member.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and evaluate healthy workplace programs and initiatives
  • Foster an organizational culture of wellbeing and support a collaborative and healthy work environment
  • Apply working knowledge of employee experience and wellbeing, including program planning, design, implementation, and evaluation
  • Exercise considerable judgement and independence in the implementation of programming and initiatives
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in human resources or health sciences
  • 5 years of experience in employee wellbeing, workplace wellness, health promotion, and/or human resources
  • Superior interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to function as a collaborative team member
  • Experience using a Human Resources/Payroll System and database reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development and implementation of projects
  • Strong human relations skills and the ability to interact with employees in a unionized and non-unionized environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated presentation skills
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $42,748 to $50,291 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan and paid time off.
