Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Dishwasher to join our team at Sienna Senior Living's Waterford Kingston Retirement Residence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, glassware, and cutlery in accordance with infection control and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure proper usage of chemicals in dish machines and pot-washing areas.
  • Clean the kitchen, including mopping the entire floor, and perform tasks as per site cleaning schedules.
  • Receive, uncrate, and put away supplier deliveries as required.
  • Alert the Chef to any problems and make recommendations for corrective action.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 10 minimum education required.
  • Must have Smart Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification is preferred.
  • Proven customer service skills and excellent command of verbal and written English language.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
