Job Summary:

Aspira Waterford Kingston Retirement Living is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, ensuring the proper use of chemicals in dish machines and pot-washing areas, and receiving and putting away supplier deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean dishes, pots, glassware, and cutlery following established sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure correct usage of chemicals in dish machine and pot-washing areas.
  • Clean kitchen, including mopping entire floor, and assumes cleaning tasks as per site cleaning schedules.
  • Receive, uncrate, and put away supplier deliveries as required.
  • Alert Chef to problems and make recommendations about corrective action.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 10 minimum education required.
  • Must have Smart Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification is preferred.
  • Proven customer service skills and excellent command of verbal and written English language.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
