Psychiatric Consultant

We are seeking a compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric assessment and treatment recommendations to adult individuals who have experienced traumatic psychological injuries in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of individuals referred to the Traumatic Psychological Injury Program.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, patient history, and collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.
- Recommend evidence-based psychiatric treatment, including medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions, to address patients' mental health needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and primary care providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and any other relevant information in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Medical degree from an accredited institution, with specialty in Psychiatry.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Current licensure to practice Psychiatry in the province of Newfoundland.
- Strong diagnostic and assessment skills.
- Experience in trauma-related disorders preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
