Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Governance Finance Analyst to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining an effective financial governance framework that promotes transparency, accuracy, and consistency across our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial governance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to business stakeholders on financial governance matters, including risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate financial risks, and develop strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Design and implement training programs to educate business stakeholders on financial governance best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on financial governance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry trends, and provide recommendations for updates to financial governance policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in a financial governance or risk management role.
  • Specialized knowledge of financial governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
