Recreation Team Member Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Team Member to join our team at The Village of Coleman Care in Barrie, Ontario. As a key member of our Long Term Care REC Team, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and engaging environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement recreational programs and activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being
  • Collaborate with the recreation team to plan and deliver programs that meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to residents, families, and team members
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful team culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Recreation/Leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university
  • Experience facilitating group activities and programs, preferably in a long-term care setting
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Support and promote our resident-centred social culture and deliver high-quality customer service
