Cloud Architecture Position

Vantix Systems Inc is seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to join our team. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing and provisioning new cloud services, engaging with technical teams, vendors, and service owners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and evaluate latest technology trends to inform cloud service design and implementation.
  • Architect new IT services, develop solution papers, and test plans to ensure cloud services meet business requirements.
  • Evaluate current services, recommend remedial actions where required, and assist in determining hardware/software requirements.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams on proof of concept and limited production rollouts, providing quality control on production implementations.
  • Communicate operation guidelines and policies to clients, applying and interpreting how they enhance the ministry's way of doing business.
  • Review new services and technology requests by business area, assessing their impact on the operational environment and providing recommendations for remediation.
  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and estimates pertaining to architectural deployment and services delivery.
  • Document technical recommendations and provide technical advice and guidance to management, operations, and project team members.
Requirements:
  • Experience providing leadership to project implementation teams and using service management best practices to implement cloud services within operational processes.
  • Experience implementing cloud solutions in a multi-account, multi-cloud environment.
  • Experience deploying Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform, ARM templates, and/or Cloud Formation.
  • Experience with solution and cost information to inform decision makers and support business cases.
  • Experience in implementing cloud services in 2 or more of AWS, Azure, or Google.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience preparing and presenting comprehensive information to management, including contributing to presentations, briefing notes, and decision requests.
  • Completion of cloud architecture training, specific with one or more hyper-scale cloud providers.
  • Experience deploying Cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
