Job Title: Security Guard - Ferries

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team on our Ferries contract at Duke Point and Departure Bay. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of both the terminal and onboard vessels, creating a secure environment for passengers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and security of passengers and staff
  • Act as a visible deterrent and engage with the public to provide assistance and direction
  • Perform unlock/lock-up checks and related security procedures
  • Manage various communication channels, including radio and incident escalations
  • Identify and report safety hazards
Requirements:
  • BC Security License
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable with radio communication
  • Ability to write reports on job-related activities
  • Comfort working independently and in varying weather conditions
  • Physically capable of standing and walking for a duration of 8 hours
