About the Role

We are seeking a talented Pre-Board Screening Officer to join our team at Paladin Airport Security Services Ltd. As a Pre-Board Screening Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our passengers and staff.

Main Responsibilities

  • Screening Passengers and Baggage - Efficiently screen passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other technology, along with physical search techniques.
  • Providing Information - Provide accurate and professional information to passengers, explaining security procedures and regulations.
  • Validating Boarding Passes - Confirm the validity of boarding passes for all passengers.
  • Protecting Restricted Areas - Safeguard restricted airport areas to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Managing Conflict - Effectively manage and resolve conflicts that may arise during the screening process.
  • Communicating Clearly - Communicate clearly and effectively with passengers, colleagues, and management.
  • Upholding Regulations - Adhere to all security regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe and secure environment.

Requirements

  • Customer Service Experience - A minimum of one year of customer service experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Availability - Open availability to work any shift as required by the airport operations, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • English Communication Skills - Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluency in French is an asset.
  • Medical Requirements - Ability to comply with the CATSA medical requirements.
  • Education - A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
