About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and caring Home Child Care Provider to join our team at Jocelyn and Christian Fernandez. As a Home Child Care Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Assume full responsibility for household care and supervision of children in the absence of parents
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment
    • Plan and implement activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development
  • Meal Preparation and Nutrition
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks to meet the dietary needs of children
  • Health and Safety
    • Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including administering medication as required
  • Communication and Record Keeping
    • Establish and maintain open communication with parents and other caregivers to ensure seamless care and support
    • Keep accurate and detailed records of children's daily activities, meals, and health information
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Personal Qualities
    • Patience, empathy, and understanding of children's needs
    • Reliability, trustworthiness, and discretion
Working Conditions

The Home Child Care Provider will work in a home-based setting, providing care and support to children in a non-smoking environment. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
