Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Angelic Treasures Christian Childcare Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes engaging children in activities, preparing snacks, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
  • Maintain daycare equipment
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements:
  • Criminal record check
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
