About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PHP Laravel Developer to join our team at Magna International Inc. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications using a combination of front-end and back-end technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business users to develop complex web applications using PHP, Laravel, and other relevant technologies.
  • Migrate legacy applications to current technologies, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to existing systems.
  • Participate in code review and perform extensive testing to ensure high-quality software, meeting the highest standards of reliability and performance.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required, contributing to the growth and success of our software development team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized post-secondary degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with business users and technical teams.
  • A keen eye for UX/UI details, with a focus on creating visually appealing applications that are elegant and easy to navigate.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience creating large-scale, complex web applications using both front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Strong expertise in PHP, with proven experience in the Laravel framework.
  • Experience writing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries, Eloquent ORM.
  • Strong understanding of REST and backend communication through API calls.
  • Experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including.NET Core 6+, is an asset.
  • Experience with implementing SSO authentication mechanisms such as SAML and OAuth.
