Job Summary:

The Carpenter Apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters to develop skills and knowledge in carpentry, including measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist experienced carpenters in preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials.
  • Develop skills in carpentry, including working at heights, using power tools, and operating heavy equipment.
  • Participate in scheduling and coordinating work on sites.
  • Supervise other workers as needed.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Working at heights training.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
