Job Overview

CIMA+ is seeking a skilled Building Control Specialist to join our team. This role involves designing and developing automatic regulation systems in building mechanics, ensuring high-quality technical analyses and reports.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical building engineering or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' relevant experience in building automatic regulation, with fluency in spoken and written English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop drawings and specifications for automatic regulation systems.
  • Determine construction costs and quantities using standard methods and established drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct surveys and studies, and write technical reports.
  • Participate in resolving technical problems and contributing to drawing up action plans.
  • Assist in partial supervision of construction work.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical building engineering or equivalent.
  • Membership or eligibility in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) and relevant certifications.
  • A minimum of three years' relevant experience in building automatic regulation.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • ASP Construction card.
  • LEED certification or knowledge of sustainable development and energy efficiency principles (an asset).

Compensation Package

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
