Job Title: Geological Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Geological Technician to join our team at Azure Group Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging or underground mine survey programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in environmental audits
  • Conduct or direct surveys or survey programs
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems
  • Perform physical and chemical laboratory tests
  • Supervise oil and gas well drilling, well completions and work-overs
  • Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps and cross sections
  • Assist in hydrogeological field and laboratory studies
Requirements:
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association
  • Geographic Information System (GIS) skills
  • Ability to operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
  • MS Office skills
