  • Independent work style**: The ability to work without close supervision while still maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Attention to detail**: A strong focus on maintaining cleanliness standards and ensuring all surfaces are spotless.
  • Cleaning skills and knowledge**: Familiarity with cleaning supplies and equipment, including mops, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Reliable transportation**: The ability to travel to the job site in Toronto, ON, using your own vehicle.
  • Physical abilities**: The physical ability to lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks as required by the role.
  • Language skills**: A good command of English is required for effective communication and following instructions.
  • Punctuality and reliability**: Essential traits for this role, as regular attendance and timely completion of tasks are crucial.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing**: Ensuring all areas of the restaurant, including dining areas, kitchen, restrooms, and entryways, are clean and sanitized.
  • Floor care**: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to remove debris and maintain a spotless surface.
  • Trash management**: Emptying trash bins, replacing liners, and disposing of waste according to established guidelines.
  • Surface maintenance**: Wiping down tables, chairs, countertops, and high-touch surfaces using approved cleaning products.
  • Kitchen cleaning**: Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, appliances, and countertops.
  • Bathroom maintenance**: Disinfecting restrooms, restocking supplies, and maintaining overall cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Spill response**: Promptly addressing spills, stains, and grime to maintain a clean environment.
  • Regulatory compliance**: Adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning supplies.
  • Maintenance reporting**: Reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor immediately.
