Dietary Assistant

We are seeking a qualified Dietary Aide to join our Village team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support for our residents.

• Food Preparation - Counts, weighs and/or measures ingredients for assigned food preparation areas.
• Food Service - Portions out and serves food and beverages in the dining room, gathers and replaces supplies as required.
• Logistics - Loads hot wagons and delivers food to resident neighborhoods.
• Inventory Management - Stocks resident kitchens with items such as paper products, snacks, beverages and staple goods.
• Dining Area Preparation - Prepares tables in dining areas before mealtimes, with items such as napkins, placemats, utensils, condiments and beverages.
• Food Assembly - Prepares beverages and food items such as tea, coffee and toast; assembles food items such as sandwiches and salads.
• Food Preparation and Storage - Washes, peels and stores vegetables and fruit.
• Special Events Support - Assists the Chef with portioning and service of meals for special and catered events.
• Cleaning and Sanitation - Operates dishwashing machine, stacks clean dishes and utensils; sets, clears and cleans dining tables.
• Clerical Duties - Performs related clerical duties such as answering the phone and documenting information on menu cards.

• Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.
• Provide a negative TB Screening and immunization records.
• Proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
