We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Statistical Programmer Lead to join our team in Bridgewater, New Jersey, USA or remotely anywhere in the USA.

About the Role

This senior leadership position will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing direct subordinate Statistical Programmers, as well as indirect subordinates Biostatisticians and Statistical Programmers assigned to programs/projects.

The successful candidate will perform semi-annual and annual performance reviews, develop developmental plans, and contribute to the performance evaluation process of direct and indirect subordinates.

This role also involves participating in the development and maintenance of standards for database design, defining standard database modules, variable names, attributes, and associated data validation/logical checks.

You will lead programming efforts for assigned client clusters, provide mentorship and technical supervision to statistical programming project team members, and monitor compliance with established data and programming standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach, mentor, develop, provide technical review, advice, and expertise to direct subordinate Statistical Programmers and indirect subordinate Biostatisticians and Statistical Programmers.
  • Perform semi-annual and annual performance reviews and develop developmental plans for direct subordinates and, where appropriate, indirect subordinates.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of standards for database design, including defining standard database modules, variable names, attributes, and associated data validation/logical checks.
  • Lead programming efforts for assigned client clusters, including planning, executing, and managing programming tasks involving standardized summary tables, listings, and graphs using established standard mockups and SAS programs/macros.
  • Provide mentorship and technical supervision to statistical programming project team members, monitor compliance with established data and programming standards, and follow up on industry trends in data and programming standardization and good programming working practices.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have a M.Sc., M.A. or higher degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or relevant fields.

A minimum of 9 years' experience with in-depth knowledge of clinical trial data processing and manipulation, hands-on statistical programming and analysis, requirements for assembling and presenting trial results to regulatory agencies is required.

You must demonstrate ability to effectively plan, control, and carry on tasks in SAS programming, statistical analysis, and submission of trial data and results to regulatory agencies.
