Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Diagnostics and Repair: Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect the operation of telecommunications equipment and conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment using computerized testing systems.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete and maintain accurate test and service reports to document equipment performance and any issues encountered.
  • Troubleshooting and Analysis: Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: College/CEGEP education and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications equipment repair.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of telephone systems, communication networks, and telecommunications equipment. Proficiency in computerized testing systems and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, judgement, reliability, and accuracy are essential qualities for this role.
Work Environment
