Job Summary

12817136 CANADA INC. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Teamwork and Communication

Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.

Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, performing emergency roadside repairs as needed.

Cargo Handling and Security

Load and unload goods, tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate and detailed records.

Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses

AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Documentation Knowledge

Accident or incident reports, bill of lading, dangerous goods occurrence reports, driver logbook, inspection report, maintenance and repair reports, trans-border documentation, and trip reports.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, large workload, overtime required, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and sitting.

Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is physically demanding, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
