Job Summary
The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Professor to teach a course in Microwave Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the subject matter and excellent teaching skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach a course in Microwave Engineering, covering topics such as transmission line theory, the Smith Chart, microstrip transmission lines, and network parameter description of microwave circuits.
- Develop and deliver lectures, labs, and tutorials to students.
- Assess student performance and provide feedback.
- Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate new knowledge into the course.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of course subject matter, demonstrated by having taught similar or related courses, or demonstrated by relevant work experience.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
- Ability to teach in English.
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to work on a part-time basis, teaching the course and attending tutorials. The contract will include a payment for 52 hours, as it is required that the part-time professor teaching this course attends tutorials at least one hour per week.
