Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

This is a contract position for a Senior Business Analyst to work on a public sector project. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in business and system analysis, data modeling, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and conduct business and system analysis to assess client's business problems/opportunities and document the business/system requirements.
  • Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, use case surveys, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements definitions.
  • Produce/update documentation to support the implemented solutions.
  • Assist with identifying and resolving data quality issues, defining test cases, performing data reconciliation, and addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise during the testing phase.
  • Provide ongoing support, analyze and address data-related issues or questions, and help with optimizing data management processes in the new environment.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience leading and conducting business and system analysis.
  • Proven experience in both agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Proven experience in conducting business and system analysis in respect to building data marts/data warehouses/data lakehouse or Business Intelligence/Data Analytics and Reporting solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a business analyst in large/complex data migration projects.
  • Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as PowerBI.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL language and ability to execute SQL queries.
  • Understanding of concepts around ETL, data quality, data cleaning, and data issues' handling.
