Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at The Royale Development LP. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients in a nursing home/home for the aged setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities to promote physical and mental well-being
  • Perform various tasks related to patient care and comfort, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Supply and empty bed pans, take patients' vital signs, and serve meal trays
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher and collect specimens as needed
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations and provide personal care and companionship
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and linen management
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • Criminal record check, immunization records, vulnerable sector check, and tuberculosis test
Work Environment:

Our nursing home/home for the aged setting offers a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing exceptional care and support to our clients. As a Personal Support Worker, you will work under pressure and be required to perform repetitive tasks. You will also be expected to stand for extended periods and engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
