Caregiver Role at the Ottawa Catholic School Board

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Caregiver to join our team at the Ottawa Catholic School Board. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our students and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs cleaning and general maintenance of school interior and exterior, adhering to established standards
  • Conducts daily routine security and safety checks
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Some secondary school education with the ability to read and write
  • One year of related work experience
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and its regulations
  • Ability to work independently, performing physically strenuous work
  • Own personal vehicle required

Working Conditions:

Casual Caretakers work on-call and must be available to work days, evenings, or Saturdays at various school locations.

Compensation:

$20.70/hour plus 4% in lieu of vacation.
