About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Small Establishment Cook to join our team at Mortimer's Fine Foods. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Maintain Kitchen Areas: Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean, organized, and meet health and safety standards.
  • Train and Supervise Staff: Provide guidance and support to kitchen staff and helpers to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Order and Manage Supplies: Order and manage food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and running efficiently.
  • Supervise Kitchen Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Maintain Inventory and Records: Accurately record and maintain inventory levels, including food, supplies, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment
  • Language: Fluency in English
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate and work in a fast-paced environment
