HVAC Automation Specialist

Job Title: HVAC Automation SpecialistWe are seeking a skilled HVAC Automation Specialist to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient and sustainable Building Automation Systems (BAS).
Key Responsibilities:- Perform on-site surveys of client controls and BAS during the design phase.
- Analyze client existing sequences of operation and mechanical system performance.
- Select and size major controls devices, such as valves, actuators, and sensors.
- Establish and document new and existing control points.
- Establish sequences of operation.
- Collaborate with our Construction Manager to develop RFPs for controls contractors.
- Work with the Construction Manager and mechanical systems manufacturers to perform start-ups on all systems and equipment.
- Train client staff in use and maintenance of newly installed mechanical systems.
- Optimize operation of new and existing equipment and systems to achieve peak efficiency.
- Monitor completed projects to maintain energy savings.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or relevant education and/or experience.
- 6+ years of experience in control systems from leading integrators or manufacturers.
- Experience in Building Automation Systems (HVAC), writing and implementing sequence of operations, and understanding of mechanical systems and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware devices and wiring, read and write BAS programming, and work autonomously.
- Valid driver's license.
- Annual base salaries benchmarked and reviewed annually.
