Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Automation Specialist to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient and sustainable Building Automation Systems (BAS) for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform on-site surveys of client facilities to assess existing controls and BAS systems.
- Analyze client sequences of operation and mechanical system performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Select and size major controls devices, such as valves, actuators, and sensors, to optimize system performance.
- Establish and document new and existing control points to ensure seamless system operation.
- Develop and implement sequences of operation to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with our Construction Manager to develop RFPs for controls contractors and perform start-ups on all systems and equipment.
- Train client staff on the use and maintenance of newly installed mechanical systems.
- Monitor completed projects to ensure energy savings are maintained during the follow-up period.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- 6+ years of experience in control systems from leading integrators or manufacturers.
- Experience in Building Automation Systems (HVAC) and writing sequence of operations.
- Understanding of mechanical systems and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware devices and wiring.
- Ability to read and write BAS programming.
- Valid driver's license.
