Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quarry Operations Manager to join our team at CRH Canada - Cement ON. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our quarry, as well as the effective management of our limestone production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quarry operations plans to meet production targets and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage and supervise a team of employees to ensure the smooth operation of the quarry and limestone production.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with the quarry management team to develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of quarry operations, including production data, safety incidents, and maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Conduct regular reviews of quarry operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, geology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the aggregate industry, with at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of quarry operations, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of employees.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
