We seek an experienced Procurement & Materials Manager to join our team. This strategic role will guarantee uninterrupted production by managing raw material sourcing, ERP systems, and developing a skilled purchasing team.

This position demands close coordination with Engineering, Production, and Planning to maintain accurate Bill of Materials, secure necessary supplies, optimize inventory, and implement process improvements.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with Production and Planning to develop materials requirement plans, ensuring seamless manufacturing operations.
  • Purchasing and Supplier Engagement: Oversee purchasing strategies, negotiate contracts, and cultivate strong relationships with suppliers for optimal quality, cost, and reliability.
  • ERP Management: Manage and optimize the materials module in our ERP system, ensuring accurate data and robust reporting capabilities for informed decision-making.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of buyers and materials coordinators, establishing clear performance goals and a culture of accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to proactively address supply chain or material challenges.

We require:

  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.
  • A degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Able to build cohesive teams and drive impactful results.
