Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing as needed
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other materials to walls
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages to ensure safe access to work areas
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces

Work Environment:

  • On-the-road job with frequent travel to different work sites
  • Work with a diverse team of experienced painters and support staff

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

  • Recruit and support newcomers and refugees in their transition to Canada
  • Provide mentorship programs and cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment

Support for Indigenous People:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities and organizations
  • Provide cultural competency training and facilitate access to Elders for support and guidance

Work Term: Permanent, Work Language: English, Hours: 30 hours per week
