General Manager of Multiple Stores

About the Role
Carter's Inc. is seeking a talented General Manager to lead our team in a dynamic retail environment. As a General Manager of multiple stores, you will be responsible for fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, coaching your team to reach their full potential, and becoming an expert in our brands and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a talent network through networking and recruiting. Develop succession plans by training and developing your team.
- Nurture a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment where all employees can collaborate and recognize performance to increase employee engagement.
- Grow leaders through guidance, delegation, and investment in their development.
- Create true customer attention on the sales floor by leading and directing the Manager on Duty program across multiple locations.
- Welcome customers with a warm greeting. Provide assistance regarding our products' styles, features, and benefits.
- Implement company directives on merchandising and operations. Manage payroll and budgets.
- Understand and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify behaviors that drive results.
- Lead and uniformly integrate an omnichannel experience ensuring teams are trained on available tools.
- Build customer loyalty through company-sponsored programs.
- Reduce loss through consistent levels of customer service, education, and operational controls.
Requirements
- A positive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills including leading, directing, and multitasking.
- Real computer and technology skills (Outlook, Excel, web navigation, etc.).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management or related fields and in leading subordinates.
- A high school diploma.
