Landscape Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at JAYS BLADE & SNOW SERVICES INC. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn care tasks to ensure a lush and healthy lawn.
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep our outdoor spaces clean and tidy.
  • Remove litter and garbage to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to enhance the appearance of our outdoor spaces.
  • Lay sod or seed to create a lush and vibrant lawn.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to add beauty and color to our outdoor spaces.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and effective work.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure their health and well-being.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient and effective work.
  • Shovel ice and snow from track switch boxes to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.
  • Perform snow maintenance operations, including handling snowmaking and snow removal equipment.
Work Environment:

As a Landscape Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions. You must be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
