Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing food manufacturer, is seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Supply Chain to drive strategic direction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers to ensure favorable terms and reliable supply of materials and services.
- Lead the integration of supply chain processes with other business functions to align objectives and enhance operational performance.
- Implement advanced analytics and supply chain management tools to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Develop and maintain sustainable and ethical sourcing practices, ensuring compliance with legal standards and corporate social responsibility commitments.
- Coordinate risk management efforts across the supply chain, including the development of contingency plans to mitigate the impact of disruptions, shortages, or other unforeseen challenges.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain team, encouraging innovation, professional development, and collaboration to achieve strategic goals.
- Represent the company in industry associations, conferences, and professional groups to stay informed of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in supply chain management.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field and additional formal training in Procurement & Supply Chain; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years operations/supply chain experience.
- 5+ years of business experience at senior strategic level and proven ability to build and motivate a top-performing team.
- 10+ years experience in manufacturing and distribution environment.
- Prior experience in a food or GMP manufacturing environment is required.
- Global supply chain management, technology integration, and implementation experience.
- Brings a deep understanding of logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
- Exceptional Communications and Interpersonal skills.
- Extensive Data Analysis expertise would be an asset.
