Salary
The pay rate for this position is $20.25-$20.55/hour, offering a competitive compensation package that recognizes the value and dedication of our staff.
About the Role
This full-time Community Living Staff position plays a vital role in supporting residents in achieving their service plan goals and objectives. The successful candidate will work as an effective member of the team, providing teaching, monitoring, and recovery-oriented supports in accordance with OMH 595 regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing Assertiveness / Self-Advocacy Training, Community Integration / Resource Development, Daily Living Skills, Health Services, Medication Management / Training, Parenting Training, Rehabilitative Counseling, Skill Development, Socialization, Substance Abuse Services, Symptom Management
- Assisting with supervising resident medications, maintaining accurate and timely documentation, and communicating relevant information regarding resident status
- Completing basic documentation, ensuring daily tasks and assignments are completed, and working with Overnight security to ensure resident safety and well-being
- Sharing information with supervisor or other administrative staff regarding problems or concerns that occur during their shift
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of High School diploma or GED, with ability to demonstrate verbal and written skills necessary to carry out services for the success of the program. At least one year of experience in a residential setting working with people in various stages of recovery from mental illness is preferred. A valid New York State driver's license that meets qualifications set by the agency's clean driver record policy is also required.
