Job Title: Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team at Baker Tilly Gatineau Inc. As a key member of our tax group, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to our clients and ensuring compliance with all tax-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review tax filings to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Offer tax planning services to clients to minimize tax liabilities
  • Research and prepare tax memoranda to address complex tax issues
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client service and improve tax efficiency
  • Participate in special engagements and projects to drive business growth
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of progressive public accounting experience with a tax specialty
  • Bilingualism is a requirement
  • Successful completion of the CICA In-depth tax course
  • Sound technical knowledge of Canadian tax-related issues
  • Ability to provide value-added service to clients
  • Strong understanding of GAAP requirements for tax provisions
  • Computer skills including Caseware and Taxprep
