About the Role

The Network Automation Specialist - L2 will play a critical role in planning, engineering, integration, and deployments of automation, scripting, telemetry, and analytics solutions for network and firewall appliances. This position requires strong expertise in DevNetOps tasks and collaboration with the IT Operations team to design, evolve, build, and ensure the integration, manageability, and security of highly available systems and applications.

  • Design, deploy, and support automation and scripting solutions to drive new capabilities, visibility, and efficiency for network and firewall appliances
  • Develop Ansible and Python code for configuring, monitoring, and analyzing network and firewall appliances using REST APIs
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code approach for automation of network and firewall appliances
  • Explore different network operations activities and identify use-cases for automation
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives and selection, installation, operationalizing, and ongoing support of infrastructure enhancements
  • Support change management activities and provide assistance to business users and key stakeholders as needed
  • Contribute to the creation of documentation, including runbooks, how-to user guides, and technical how-to support guides
  • Provide Systems Administration support and troubleshoot complex system-related issues

This role requires a minimum of 5+ years' experience in a Network Engineer capacity with DevNetOps emphasis, along with expertise in automation, coding, and scripting for network and firewall appliance configuration, monitoring, and reporting. Familiarity with complex enterprise network architecture planning, design, and implementation, as well as Linux deployment and management, is essential. Experience with OpenSource software and service management tools, such as OpenStack, OpenShift, Zabbix, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, etc., is also desirable.

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Network Engineer capacity with DevNetOps emphasis
  • Experience in automation, coding, and scripting for network and firewall appliance configuration, monitoring, and reporting
  • Familiarity with complex enterprise network architecture planning, design, and implementation
  • Linux deployment and management experience
  • Experience with OpenSource software and service management tools
