Job SummaryCIMT College is seeking a qualified individual to teach the Pre Med program, which is registered with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. The successful candidate will be required to adhere to CIMT College's policies and procedures.
The Instructor Manual provides courseware, resources, evaluations, and daily lesson plans. The Instructor is responsible for following the provided manual and utilizing the resource materials to train students with the necessary knowledge and skills to prepare them for employment in the field.
CIMT College emphasizes professional conduct and excellence in classroom instruction, with a primary focus on hands-on training.
Duties and Responsibilities- Create lesson plans and teaching materials to deliver courses to Pre-Med students
- Deliver classes as per schedule and meet the desired outcomes for successful program completion
- Assist students with their learning needs
- Mark tests, assignments, and exams for the course and provide feedback to students
- Maintain a positive learning environment in the class
- Provide guidance to students on the program, its related areas, and higher education opportunities
- Answer queries related to the program by prospective students or potential clients
- Input data into computerized databases for student attendance and scores
- Ensure feedback from students after course delivery to enhance satisfaction
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Manager and/or Supervisor
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to present information in a way that students will understand and adapt to different learning styles
- Professional business attire and interpersonal skills to act as a mentor and role model
- Online teaching skills (training provided, but computer skills are essential)
- Have 48 months of work experience in the vocation OR
- Have 36 months of teaching experience in the vocation and 24 months of work experience in the vocation OR
- Have 24 months of work experience in the vocation AND
Hold a Bachelor degree from a Canadian university or an equivalent degree
Graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent
Graduate of a registered PCC or equivalent
- Meet Instructor qualification standards as outlined in the Regulations to Private Career Colleges Act, 2005
- Must be available to teach online/In campus as per the accepted schedule
