Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Alberta Health Services, you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse nursing environment in the picturesque town of Wabasca. You will be part of an interprofessional healthcare team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals and community clinics.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve patient-centered care goals.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a diverse nursing environment.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous culture, history, and health practices.
