Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, quality patient-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.
  • Work collaboratively with an interprofessional healthcare team to utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
