Sheriff Corporation, a leading landlord and owner of office, commercial, and industrial properties in the GTA area, is seeking a skilled Building Operations Specialist to join our team. Our head office is located in Vaughan, and we are committed to providing exceptional service to our tenants and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems to ensure the safety and comfort of our tenants.
  • Respond promptly to tenant service calls, including lighting, heating, and cooling issues, to minimize disruptions.
  • Oversee the appearance and safety of our properties, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Operate and troubleshoot Building Automation and Security computer systems to maintain optimal building performance.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure they adhere to our building guidelines and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with our Operations Supervisor and Property Management team to address building and tenant concerns.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays, to accommodate the needs of our tenants and respond to emergencies.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance, repairs, and cleaning tasks, including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and HVAC work.
  • Source and procure materials and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building operations.
  • Proven track record in a commercial, office, or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with safety and fire codes, WHMIS procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong computer and communication skills.
