About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Business Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with a referral network to build a pipeline of new mortgage business.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage relationships with a referral network to build a pipeline of new mortgage business.
- Actively identify sales opportunities and refer them to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
- Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs to drive business results.
- Follow corporate policies, operating directives, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Typically between 3-5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
- Expert knowledge of self-management, teamwork, personal lending, relationship sales, and management.
- Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, trust services, business, commercial lending, and cash management.
- Strong knowledge of the broader real estate industry and mortgage market.
