Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a holistic approach to end-of-life care, providing a range of services to patients and their families. As a Palliative Care Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing emotional support to patients and their loved ones.
Responsibilities- Assess patient/resident status and develop individualized care plans
- Provide direct nursing interventions for management of crisis and life-threatening situations
- Document patient/resident progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in nursing orientation and share clinical knowledge with other nursing staff
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Certification in Hospice/Palliative Care
- One year's recent, related palliative nursing care experience in an acute care facility or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
