Job Summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled Electro-mechanical technician to perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on generators and components at customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have Red Seal certification in Heavy Duty Mechanics, Automotive, or Truck Trailer, as well as electrical knowledge and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completes preventative maintenance and basic repair activities on generators and components with minimal direction.
  • Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner, anticipating and ensuring prompt attention to customer needs.
  • Applies specialized tools and follows documented procedures to diagnose and complete basic repairs.
  • Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products.
  • Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims.
  • Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensures adherence to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and legislation.

Requirements

  • Red Seal certification in Heavy Duty Mechanics, Automotive, or Truck Trailer.
  • Electrical knowledge and experience.
  • Reliability security clearance (an asset).
  • Good customer relation skills.
  • Locally valid driving permit.
  • Clean drivers abstract.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage experience.
