Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Finning. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to our customers, ensuring the high availability and reliability of their technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for complex issues related to Trimble, Caterpillar, UAV systems, and proximity detection devices.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for customers and end-users on the operation and maintenance of technology products.
  • Collaborate with Technology Sales Representatives to evaluate customer needs and develop tailored technology solutions.
  • Assist with inventory management and administration of assigned tooling and products.
  • Conduct internal training for team members to enhance their product knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Analyze and report on product performance, identifying trends in failures and serviceability issues to improve future service quality.
  • Coordinate with co-workers to ensure efficient diagnosis and repair at customer sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in surveying, civil construction, mining operations, or related engineering fields.
  • Preferred education: technical diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering or Geomatics.
  • Specialized training in presentation and training techniques is beneficial.
  • Technical proficiency in using Trimble Office software products, including Business Center.
  • 30-40% travel required for this region.
