Job Title: SQL Back-end Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL back-end developer to join our Asset Management team at National Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing critical databases to support our strategic applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize SQL databases, primarily on Sybase, to ensure performance and integrity.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, analyze performance, and propose improvements to existing systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams, analysts, and project managers to integrate database solutions into enterprise applications.
  • Use Git for version control and code tracking, ensuring version consistency across different development and production environments.
  • Write clear technical documents for developers, end users, and other stakeholders.

About the Team:

You will be part of the IT Wealth Management Delivery sector, reporting to the Head of Asset Management. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality solutions to our partners, ensuring the achievement of quality and deadline standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in SQL programming, with the ability to write complex scripts and optimize queries for maximum performance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Sybase database management.
  • Extensive experience with Unix operating systems, including the ability to write and maintain shell scripts.
  • Experience in using Git for source code management.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
