Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL back-end developer to join our Asset Management team at National Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing critical databases to support our strategic applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Development and Optimization: Design, develop, and optimize SQL databases, primarily on Sybase, to ensure performance and integrity.
  • Problem Analysis and Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, analyze performance, and propose improvements to existing systems.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development teams, analysts, and project managers to integrate database solutions into enterprise applications.
  • Version Control with Git: Use Git for version control and code tracking, ensuring version consistency across different development and production environments.
  • Technical Documentation: Write clear technical documents for developers, end users, and other stakeholders.
About the Team

You will be part of the IT Wealth Management Delivery sector, reporting to the Head of Asset Management. Our team is responsible for the realization of several regulatory, evolutionary, maintenance, and security projects in coordination with our partners (operations, suppliers, customers) while ensuring the achievement of quality/deadline standards for the production of tax slips.

Requirements
  • SQL Expertise: Strong background in SQL programming, ability to write complex scripts and optimize queries for maximum performance.
  • Experience with Sybase: Demonstrated proficiency in Sybase database management is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in the Unix environment: Extensive experience with Unix operating systems, including the ability to write and maintain shell scripts.
  • Knowledge of Git: Experience in using Git for source code management.
  • Autonomy and Collaboration: Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to dive deep into technical details.
