Composite Paint Technician

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled Composite Paint Technician to join our team at Airbus Canada. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for applying paint to composite or metallic panels in accordance with Airbus Helicopters process specifications.
Main Responsibilities- Paint Application: Apply primer and top paint to composite panels, ensuring a high-quality finish and adhering to Airbus Helicopters process specifications.
- Preparation and Inspection: Prepare parts for painting by removing dust and contaminants, and inspecting finished parts for imperfections such as fish eyes, solvent pops, pinholes, and dry paint.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain spray guns, breathable air hoods, and other equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and adhering to safety protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets Airbus Helicopters quality standards, and report any issues or concerns to supervisors.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years of paint experience is an asset.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of Airbus Helicopters paint process and specifications, ability to work independently, and attention to detail.
- Physical Demands: Ability to wear steel toe footwear, face mask, safety glasses/goggles, face shield, coveralls, gloves, ear plugs/ear muffs, and respirator.
This role requires working in a fast-paced production environment, with frequent exposure to paint fumes and other chemicals. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
