About the Role:

NPM Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring that concrete surfaces are smooth, even, and meet the required specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Filling hollows and removing spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Operating power vibrators to compact concrete and level the top surface according to grade and depth specifications.
  • Working at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Imparting the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Instructing apprentices and ensuring they receive proper training and guidance.
  • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures as required.
  • Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and prevent damage.
  • Waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoring surfaces to their original condition.
  • Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • The role is physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods are also required.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure high-quality work.
