Our end-to-end solution for frac sand is supported by our Wisconsin and Peace River mines and processing facilities, our Western Canadian terminal network, and our "last mile" logistics capabilities, including our trucking operations, and Sahara, a proprietary well site mobile sand storage and handling system.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Director to lead and execute on all strategic operational ventures related to our Trucking division, as well as our Last Mile Logistics teams. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our Operations and leadership teams to guarantee the fulfillment of job requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role will directly be responsible for budget and financial performance goals for the Trucking and Last Mile divisions, driving operations efficiencies and serving a key function in the growth of our organization.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage our Internal Trucking and LML Divisions to ensure that we execute a best-in-class level of service for all our stakeholders;
  • Provide leadership and direction to the STS and LML teams;
  • Develop annual KPIs for STS and LML business units;
  • Ensure the team is aligned in achieving the operational, business development, and financial performance goals;
  • Instil a strong safety culture, driving the highest level of safety performance and service quality;
  • Identify, develop, and implement best practices and procedures for trucking operations;
  • Develop and implement technologies that streamline business practices across trucking;
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with drivers and equipment;
  • Work with the maintenance manager to develop and maintain a trucking maintenance program;
  • Review and manage all required operating permits;
What We Offer

This role offers a competitive salary of $150,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth in a dynamic and rapidly changing industry.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 15 years of proven experience in the trucking industry;
  • A minimum 10 years of proven management experience, leading and mentoring a large team directly and indirectly;
  • Strong business development and technical acumen, with a keen ability to work with all levels of field and corporate staff;
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering technology, or commerce/business administration an asset but not a requirement;
