Are you ready to take your career to new heights? Join Air Transat's pilot training program, developed in partnership with CAE, and become a pilot in a matter of months.
Your Training Journey
- The Ascension Academy is open to anyone with little or no flying experience, regardless of their professional or educational background.
- We've developed this training program with CAE, the gold standard for pilot training worldwide.
- Upon successful completion, you'll be hired by Air Transat and become a pilot on our fleet.
- Banking institutions provide financing mechanisms to support your training.
Phoenix Campus
- The Ascension Academy program lasts approximately 18 months, with most training taking place at CAE's facilities at Falcon Field airport in Phoenix, Arizona.
What to Expect
- Upon completion, you'll operate our fleet's aircraft.
- You'll fly modern, fuel-efficient aircraft (A330 and A321) with the latest technological tools.
- You'll fly to top international destinations, including Europe, the Caribbean, Central America, and the east and west coasts of the United States.
Eligibility
Make sure you meet the requirements: Canadian citizens or permanent residents with little to no previous flight experience are encouraged to apply. If you've already started flight training, you cannot enroll if you've obtained any qualification or certificate other than a private pilot certificate. You must be at least 18 years old at the start of training, have a completed high school diploma, and English proficiency equivalent to ICAO level 4.
Next Steps
Kick off your application by answering a few questions about your candidacy. As you proceed, an assessment and interviews will be required. If selected, a conditional letter of employment will be provided prior to commencing your training. After enrolling, you'll begin your training at the CAE Phoenix Aviation Academy in sunny Arizona, USA.

Please also provide us with the transcript of your most recent training program if you have pursued studies within the last 5 years.
Additional Information
We have four cohorts per year to start your training: March, June, September, and December.
